Drawbacks of using AWeber – But It’s Still the Perfect Email Marketing Tool:
While AWeber is a highly regarded email marketing platform with many advantages, it’s essential to consider some of the potential drawbacks or cons that users may encounter:
30-Day Free Plan, with the next paid version at only $12.50 AUD/month: AWeber does offer a free trial that lasts 30 days. The free plan still allows you to have up to 500 subscribers, one email list, one landing page, one email automation and email support. The AWeber pricing plans are based on subscribers, as your business grows, so does the cost. The next level is reasonably priced at $20 AUD/month and is a great deal with the only thing missing from the highest-end package, being personalised account management.

Learning Curve for Advanced Features: While AWeber’s interface is user-friendly, some of its more advanced features, such as automation and segmentation, may require a learning curve for beginners. Users might need to invest time in understanding and effectively utilising these features. This is where the support has come in handy! AWeber does provide segmentation options, however, I have found this and my contact list management to be complex, especially when trying to segment based on multiple criteria. However, AWeber provides great customer service, so once this was set up this wasn’t really an issue anymore!
Landing Page will have to be integrated with: If you’re looking for a landing page, this will have to be integrated with a third party. Some email marketing platforms do have this, but I found their landing page builder didn’t really work for me anyway and since I was already using Click Funnels for my sales funnel, this wasn’t an issue.

Despite these limitations, AWeber, in my opinion, remains a solid choice and a good option for start-up businesses.
